How hard is it to install a Dampening Material Kit?
The easy to follow instructions make installing the precut DMK's (Dampening Material kits) a snap.

But... there is always a but - you must first remove the old dampening material. This is not as easy in some speakers.  You need to get the walls of your cabinets as free of any glue or debris as possible and this takes some elbow grease and time. In cases where a felt-like material is glued to the cabinet walls, we have found that a paring knife works well in removing the glue left behind from the previous dampening material and a putty knife can usually get the rest up. A heat gun can help losen the glue as well.  This is usually very tough on your hands and the braces inside the cabinet can be very sharp. So be careful and wear gloves.

If you don't find anything attached to the walls of the cabinet, or the dampening material is not glued in, then the job will be easy for you!  If there is a white puffy substance (called Poly Fill) in your cabinet, that is great too.  Remove it and once the NoRez has been installed, put the puffy stuff back.

NOTE: You should vacuum out the cabinet and wipe down the sides with a lightly damp cloth and let dry before you start to install the new dampening material.
